His management roles at Los Alamos included Group Leader of Advanced Nuclear Technology and Program Manager of Treaty Verification Technology. His national experience includes assignments as senior science advisor in the U.S. State Department, as technical advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy, and as science advisor to the Delegation that negotiated the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty with the Soviet Union. Since moving to Port Orford from Washington, DC thirteen years ago, he has held positions on the boards of the Port Orford Rotary Club, the Heritage Society and Arts Council. He currently serves as a Port of Port Orford Commissioner.
