Energy Conservation Programs

Late last year your Board of Directors approved new energy conservation programs that were developed as part of the Bonneville Power Administration’s (BPA) 2010-2011 Conservation Portfolio of Programs – the Conservation Rate Credit (CRC).  Through this program, your electric cooperative is able to offer rebates for approved Energy Star® appliances as well as for weatherization, windows, ductless heat pump and regular heat pump systems that are installed by qualified contractors and according to the BPA specifications.

CCEC has also set aside a portion of the CRC funds for renewable energy projects such as solar panels and solar water heating systems.

Members can also individually support renewable energy generation through the expansion of the Coffin Butte Resource Project, a landfill gas generating plant we own in partnership with other electric cooperatives through PNGC Power.

More information is available in our offices or through the links below.  At a time when the region is planning ways to provide an affordable, reliable power supply for the next few decades, every kilowatt saved counts.  We recognize and appreciate your commitment to energy conservation and renewable energy.
