The 2021 Coos-Curry Electric Annual Meeting was held at the CCEC office in Port Orford, Oregon on Thursday, June 24th. The directors, staff, and members attended to learn more about cooperative business.
During the business meeting, two members were elected to serve three-year terms on the board of directors. In District 1 and 2 Brookings and Harbor areas, John G. Herzog was re-elected to the board and in District 3 Gold Beach Area, Jim Kolen was re-elected to the board.

CCEC’s General Manager/CEO Brent Bischoff gave a report on the cooperative and provided information about the organization’s actions in line with the CCEC Strategic Plan.

CCEC continued its aggressive vegetation management efforts as part of our wildfire mitigation plan.

CCEC reported no injuries and has a great safety culture.

CCEC sent mutual aid crews to Lane Electric’s service territory.

A total of 442 Pledges were received from Oregon Coast Community Action to support members during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Beacon Broadband’s General Manager Paul Recanzone recapped the monumental launch of CCEC’s wholly-owned subsidiary Beacon Broadband.
CCEC’s Chief Financial Officer Paul Keeler presented an overview of the 2020 financials including that the cooperative is positioned well for the future.
The meeting closed with questions from cooperative members.
